Job title: Researcher on real-time DSP/FPGA implementation of non-stationary signal processing algorithm (one person)

Overall job description:
Performs research in areas related to real-time non-stationary signal processing algorithm design for new product creation or product key component creation. Designs, develops and optimizes the real-time non-stationary signal processing algorithms for example STFT and WVD on FPGA/DSP platform by using broad research techniques and tools. Documents research and design specification. Facilitate the transition of product design and enhancement to full production/delivery. Collaboration with oversea colleagues is expected

Essential knowledge and experience:
1. No less than 3 year research experiences in real-time non-stationary digital signal processing. proven experience in real-time time frequency signal processing and analysis like real-time time frequency transformation, signal detection, feature extraction and classification
2. PhD or Master degree with no less than 3 year work experiences major in signal and information processing or major in communication and information systems
3. Proven experience in articulating the problem under complicated environment with a lot of variables and designing solution to address the problem with research techniques and tools.
Essential skills:
1. Proven in depth skills in real-time implementation for STFT, WVD and real-time time frequency analysis algorithms on DSP/FPGA.
2. Proficient in real-time implementation algorithms of some typical time frequency transforms including but not limited to: wavelet and Gabor transforms etc
3. Proven in depth skills in real-time signal processing like windowing, filtering, FFT, correlation. proficient in real-time fine resolution spectral measurement algorithm
4. Proficient in designing and optimizing real-time signal processing algorithms based on high level language such as Matlab, VHDL/Verilog or C/C
5. Proven in-depth skills on algorithm design, implementation, synthesize and timing optimization on FPGA/DSP platform. Familiar with typical design tools in this area like Modelsim, Synplify, Xilinx ISE or DSP tools like VisualDSP
6. Good communication skills in both technical area and non-technical area (oral and written)
7. Team-working
